Art, physics, accounting, motion, balance is part of everything we do. One learning theory v. another, technology, time. Scales aren’t the same. Objects being balanced aren’t always the same. Sometimes things have to be rearranged for a time or forever. Sometimes things get shaken up and you have to reevaluate which things need to be put on the scales and which things need to be put away. As long as I can recall in education, everyone wants to join a camp, Constructivist or Behaviorist? Phonics or Whole Language? Sometimes we even set things at odds that shouldn’t be.
